About CHIYOJI Socks
CHIYOJI is the original brand of Chiyoda Seni Co., Ltd., founded in 1951. We design, manufacture, and sell comfortable socks made from natural and recycled materials, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern sensibility.
Where CHIYOJI Socks Are Born
Our factory is located in Kakogawa, Hyogo Prefecture, a region renowned for sock manufacturing. From design to sales, every step is handled in-house. Drawing on decades of expertise in sports and outdoor sock production, we launched CHIYOJI to serve those with sensitive skin or poor circulation.
Our Marble Socks, known for their soft feel and relaxed fit, are loved by customers of all ages. Chiyoda Seni is a small company nestled at the foot of Mt. Takamikura, surrounded by nature. For over 70 years, we have continued to innovate with the times — and now we are ready to share our carefully crafted products with the world.
President's Profile
Takaya Hasegawa
President & CEO, Chiyoda Seni Co., Ltd. / 4th Generation
Born in 1985 in Kakogawa, Hyogo Prefecture, Takaya grew up at the foot of Mt. Takamikura. While studying economics at Keio University, he studied abroad at the University of Illinois (2007–2008), where he joined fellow students on a cross-continental bicycle journey across the United States — an experience that sparked his passion for international work.
After graduating, he joined JGC Corporation (engineering industry), working at the Yokohama headquarters before being posted to Sulawesi Island, Indonesia, where he was involved in administrative operations at an LNG gas plant (2013–2014).
Inspired by his parents' relentless drive to develop new products — including leggings — even as they aged, he came to see the potential of the family business in a new light. He joined Chiyoda Seni Co., Ltd. in 2018, was appointed Head of Sales Planning in 2020, and succeeded his father as President & CEO in May 2022, becoming the 4th generation to lead the company.
Today, he oversees the manufacturing and sales of socks and knitwear made from natural materials, as well as the management of the CHIYOJI brand.
